Privacy

How we handle information when you message The Social Solitude on Instagram.

Effective:

01

Operator and scope

The Social Solitude operates this Instagram direct-message support workflow for @thesocialsolitude. This policy describes the information involved when you contact that account and our team uses connected tools to prepare a response.

Instagram and the connected assistance service have their own terms and privacy practices. This page explains The Social Solitude’s workflow and does not replace those provider policies.

02

Information involved

Depending on what you send and what Meta makes available through Instagram, the workflow may process:

  • your DM content and the limited conversation context needed to understand it;
  • message and conversation timestamps and technical identifiers;
  • account details visible through Instagram, such as a name, username or profile photo; and
  • photos, videos, files or other attachments that you choose to send.

The workflow is not designed to request your password, one-time password (OTP), login cookie or access token in a DM. Please never send those credentials to us.

03

How information is used

We use the information to understand your request, check relevant context, prepare a proposed reply, route sensitive or uncertain matters to a person, and prevent the same message from being processed repeatedly.

Draft-only, with human review.

The current workflow prepares suggested replies. It does not automatically send Instagram DMs. A person reviews the conversation and decides whether and how to respond.

04

Where information may exist

  • Instagram / Meta: your account information, messages and attachments can remain in Instagram under Meta’s services, settings and retention practices.
  • OpenAI / Codex: the limited content needed to assist our team may be processed in Codex. Raw message content can exist in Codex task history according to the provider and workspace settings in use.
  • Local monitoring state: our local monitor records only minimal timestamps, hashes of technical identifiers, draft status and operational decisions. It does not store raw DM text, customer names, usernames, profile photos or attachments.

Provider-held copies are controlled by the relevant provider and its settings. The local monitoring state is separate from the original conversation stored by Instagram and from Codex task history.

05

Retention and access

The minimal local state is kept as needed to operate the monitor and deduplicate messages. Access to the workflow is limited to The Social Solitude’s authorised team and the connected services needed to run it.

Retention of content inside Instagram or Codex depends on the applicable provider and workspace settings. The Social Solitude cannot independently erase copies that a provider is required or configured to retain, but we can act on information under our control and help identify the relevant provider controls.

06

Your choices

You can stop sending information at any time, remove messages using the controls available in Instagram, or ask us to review and delete information under our control. Read the data deletion instructions for the steps and important provider limitations.

07

Security and changes

We use a restricted, read-oriented monitoring setup, keep access credentials out of the local monitor state, and require human review before a reply. No method of online processing or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If this workflow or policy changes materially, we will update this page and its effective date.
